Covered medical trips are prebooked through a transportation manager and dispatched ahead of the appointment. NEMT covers the five boroughs. Car service is separate and runs from Williamsburg. A local pickup is usually 3–5 minutes, and about 10 minutes at peak. Manhattan hospital pickups are usually available on short notice. Non-Emergency Medical Transportation
Need a ride to a doctor, dialysis, therapy, a hospital, or a clinic in the five boroughs? Brooklyn Radio Dispatcher Inc is an authorized transportation provider. The trip is requested through the insurance plan, a healthcare facility, or the transportation manager. After it is approved, you can ask the transportation manager to assign Brooklyn Radio Dispatcher Inc. The pickup is dispatched ahead of the appointment. Eligible passengers do not pay the driver.
Car service rides
Local car service is a call for a pickup, not a reservation. From Williamsburg, a car is usually there in 3–5 minutes, and in about 10 minutes at peak. Trips can go to other Brooklyn neighborhoods, Queens, Manhattan, and Manhattan hospitals. An hourly rate is available for time in the boroughs.
Long-distance trips are reserved ahead. The ride can go beyond the five boroughs, anywhere in the tri-state area. Call with the pickup address and the time you need to be there.
Airport drop-offs
Rides to and from JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark are reserved by phone. Set rates apply from Williamsburg. Because these trips are booked ahead, pickups are also available from nearby Brooklyn, including Bushwick, Greenpoint, Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn Heights, and Crown Heights. A sedan or an SUV is available. Call with the flight time and the pickup address so a driver can be sent to that location. Same-day requests are taken when a car is free.
Airport pickups include a short grace period after the flight lands. If the passenger is delayed getting out of the terminal, waiting time is charged. Call and we will tell you the grace period and the wait rate before you reserve.
Vehicles
A sedan fits fewer people once bags are in the trunk. An SUV or a suburban fits more passengers and more luggage. Tell the dispatcher how many people and how many bags are going, so the right vehicle is sent.
