Reservations

  • How much notice is required to make a reservation?

    Brooklyn Radio Dispatcher Inc suggests that you book a reservation 24 hours in advance to ensure a car will be available. However, we can often provide unscheduled pickups within 5 to 15 minutes upon request. You may call us or check through passenger app for availability. 

  • Will I get a call when my car arrives?

    As a courtesy to our customers, we do attempt to contact all our customers when their drivers are on location. However, we are not always able to communicate passengers upon a driver’s arrival due to heavy call volume. 

  • Can the driver come into my building to pick up my luggage and bring it out to the car?

    Unfortunately, drivers are unable to leave their vehicles unattended. The drivers will be pleased to assist with your luggage from the front of your building to the car.

  • How much notice is required to cancel a reservation?

    Brooklyn Radio Dispatcher Inc requests that our customers cancel their reservations at least 1 hour in advance for pick-ups in Williamsburg and Manhattan and 2 hours in advance for pick-ups outside Brooklyn and Manhattan. Cancellations made after the requested time-frames are subject to fees.

  • May I make a last minute change to my reservation?

    Brooklyn Radio Dispatcher Inc attempts, to the best of its ability, to accommodate last minute changes. If you would like to make a difference to your reservation, please notify us of your move at least 1 hour in advance for pick-ups in Williamsburg and Manhattan and at least 2 hours in advance for pick-ups outside of Brooklyn.

  • If I have already booked a reservation from the airport, what should I do once I land?

    After you retrieve your luggage, please call us with your confirmation number so that we can direct you to your car. The driver will pick you up within minutes at a designated curbside meeting point located right outside your baggage claim. You may reach us at (718) 384-7070.

  • For airport pickups, must I reserve a car in advance or can I call for a car once I land? How long will it take to pick me up?

    Brooklyn Radio Dispatcher Inc can provide unscheduled airport pickups. Please call us once you have landed to check our availability. If you would like to ensure availability, we recommend that you book a car in advance. It takes approximately 10-15 minutes for the driver to pull up to your terminal if the driver is nearby. 

  • I'm traveling with my pet. What kind of car can I reserve?

    If you are traveling with a pet, a minivan is required for your trip at the minivan rate.

  • Must I wear a seatbelt in a Brooklyn Radio Dispatcher Inc?

    Starting November 1, 2020, New York State now requires all passengers to buckle up regardless of where they sit in the vehicle – including drivers and all passengers. If your passengers do not wear a seat belt, your vehicle can be pulled over and your adult passengers may receive a ticket. If you are transporting a passenger under the age of 16, and they are not accompanied by a parent or guardian and do not buckle their seatbelt, you (the driver) could receive a ticket.

  • Must my child be in a child safety/booster seat?

    NYC and TLC regulations regarding child safety seats: Drivers of yellow medallion taxicabs and for-hire vehicles and their passengers are exempt from laws regarding car seats and seatbelts. Keep in mind; the TLC encourages everyone in the car to buckle their seatbelt while riding in a cab. There are no Taxi and Limousine Commission rules regarding this, as it is a State exemption. Passengers with children are encouraged to bring their car seats, which the drivers must allow passengers to install.


    NOTE:  Children under the age of seven are permitted to sit on an adult's lap.

  • Does Brooklyn Radio Dispatcher Inc supply infant or booster seats?

    No.“ If you would like Brooklyn Radio Dispatcher Inc to provide a child car seat, you may call us to check for availability some of our drivers are equipped with a “standard” infant seat which may not be appropriate for all children. The seat is offered as a courtesy by some drivers and is not required by law.” 

  • What are the passenger and luggage capacities of the various vehicles?

    Sedans can accommodate up to four passengers with three standard size pieces of luggage. For more information visit our rates page and read the vehicle class section. 

  • Can my kids travel alone?

    An adult must accompany passengers under the age of 18 years. A driver reserves the right to ask for ID for proof of age.

  • When I use a credit card, do I have to present the card to the driver?

    Yes if your plan is to pay for the trip using your credit card in the car. You must bring the card with you and present it to the driver for processing at the completion of the trip.

  • I want to pay for the trip using a credit card in the car?

    Please let the dispatcher know that you would like to pay by credit card in the car, so that dispatch can make sure that the driver he sends has the credit card processing application set up.

Non-Emergency Medical Transportation

  • How do I set up transportation for my non-emergency medical transportation appointment?

    You can set up non-emergency Medicaid transportation in several ways:


    From your insurance provider, or healthcare facility. Once you are approved you can ask your Transportation Manager to assign Brooklyn Radio Dispatcher as your preferred Transportation Provider. We're available on short notice and know the quickest routes to travel. If you live within the five boroughs of New York City and need transportation for medical care services. We're available for car service in as little as fifteen minutes after your call! Once approved by your Medicaid transportation manager.


  • How are vendors determined for Medicaid Transportation under MAS?

    MAS assigns trips on the following basis within the appropriate mode of transportation:  1) enrollee’s freedom of choice, 2) medical provider’s freedom of choice, and 3) rotation.  Only three percent of all trips assigned by MAS are assigned by rotation. If you would like Brooklyn Radio Dispatcher as your transportation provider as an MAS enrolle you have the freedom of choice to request us. 

  • What are the hours of operation for Brooklyn Radio Dispatcher for non-emergency medical transportation?

    Someone is available to answer the phones 365/24/7 for discharges and emergency transportation requests, after approval by MAS (Medicaid Transportation Managemen). Once your itinerary is in our dispatching system we can pick you up in as little as 15 minutes. Please confirm an estimated time of arrivel with dispatch.  

  • I was approved by MAS for transportation and want to confirm my itinerary with Brooklyn Radio Dispatcher?

    Once MAS assigns your trips to us, it generally takes from 10-15 minutes to upload into our dispatching system:  1) call us 10-15 minutes after approval, so that we could go over your itinerary.

  • Lost and found or damaged items

    If you have left a personal item in one of our vehicles and wish to retrieve it, please contact us. We will do our best to recover your item and contact you with regard to its status. Please be aware that Brooklyn Radio Dispatcher and its Affiliates are not responsible for lost or damaged items left in the vehicles, but as a courtesy to our valued customers, we will make every effort to locate your property. We retain found items for 30 days. If you have left a personal item in one of our vehicles and wish to retrieve it, please contact us for assistance. An agent will get back to you regarding the status of your property.


    In the event that your item is found, you may speak with a customer service representative to discuss how you may retrieve your item. You may arrange for FedEx or messenger service to pick it up the item (not paid for by Brooklyn Radio Dispatcher) or schedule a reservation for to transport the item to your location. We reserve the right to charge a delivery fee for returning found items along with the cost of having a driver deliver your found item. These fees are based on the full travel rates.


    You also have the option of coming to our office and picking up the item. You will be required to present a valid picture ID to obtain your item. Unless you have made other arrangements with someone in our office, you may retrieve your item any time between 10am and 4:30pm by visiting our office located at:
